Fall Harvest Crops

Overview: 

This craft was done with children ranging from ages 4 to 7 years old. This craft can be done with students of all ages. Young children can practice their fine motor skills with this craft as they apply glue the tiny beads onto the toilet paper roll. You can incorporate this craft when teaching students about harvest season and the fall. This craft can also be done for a Thanksgiving craft.

Materials:

• Toilet paper roll
• Yellow paint
• Beads
• Pipe cleaners

Step One: Have students paint the toilet paper roll yellow for corn and let it dry for a few minutes. (If you prefer to have them paint it a different color then that's up to you.)

Step Two: Glue the beads on to the toilet paper roll.

Step Three: String the green pipe cleaners (or which ever color you prefer) with beads. and place them inside of the toilet paper roll.
