Halloween Owl Cupcakes

Overview:
This project was  done by students between the ages of 4-6 years old. This is a fun activity to do either at home or for a Halloween party.

Materials Needed:
  • Cup-Cakes (homemade or bought)
  • Frosting (vanilla or chocolate)
  • Candy Corn
  • Oreos

Step One:
Bake the cupcakes or you can buy cupcakes from a bakery that are already made.

Step Two:
Frost the cupcakes. Have your students chose their favorite frosting and allow them to frost their cupcake.

Step Three:
You will need two Oreos. Have your students split the Oreos and place them side by side on the cupcakes. These are the owl's eyes.

Step Four:
This will need ot be done by an adult since it can be a little complicated for a young child to do. use a spoon to make the pupil of the owl's eye with the chocolate frosting.

Step Five:
Use the candy corn for the owls nose. Reese's Pieces could also be used for the owl's nose. Due to peanut allergies we had to use candy corn.
