Paper Bag Turkey



This is best for Pre-k or Kindergarten.

*Make sure you demo each part as the students do it themselves. 

Materials:
·         Sharpie
·         Glue sticks
·         White construction paper
·         Purple construction paper
·         Yellow construction paper
·         Red construction paper
·         Green construction paper
·         Orange construction paper
·         Brown paper lunch bag
·         Old new paper
·         Stapler
·         Scissors 

First:
Take the yellow, green, orange, purple, and red construction paper and draw one feather of each color for each student. 

Second:
Take the yellow construction paper cut out a triangle for the beak for each student and two feet for each student.

Third:
Take the red construction paper and cut out a gizzard for each student. Also take the white construction paper and cut out two circles for the eyes.

Fourth:
Take the brown paper bag and stuff it with old newspaper.

Fifth:
Fold over the top of the brown paper bag and help the student’s staple it closed.

Sixth:
Have the students put black dots on the white circles for the eyes and show them where to paste them on. 

Seventh:
Glue the gizzard on just below the eyes. And then glue the beak on right on top on the gizzard.

Eighth:
Give the feathers out and have the students cut them out. And then glue them to the back of the bag on top so that they stick out in the back. 

Ninth:
Then hand the students the two yellow feet and show them where to glue it on. 

Tenth:
Write the students names on the back and staple them to the bulletin board.
