Despicable Me- Minion Costume

Overview: 

There is no need to spend over $30 for a costume that will only be worn once. So, why not get creative with your kids and save some money! This costume can be made for people of all ages. It took a total of three hours to complete the costume.

Materials:

• Hot glue gun
• Scizzors
• Yellow T-Shirt
• Yellow Hat
• Gray spray paint
• White Fabric Paint
• Black pipe cleaners
• Black felt paper
• Gru Logo print out stencil (print it from your computer)
• Black headband elastic (must be a thick elastic)

Prep: Make sure all surfaces are covered and you have all over your materials

Step One: The Gru Logo- cut out the Gru logo printable. Next cut out large circle from the black felt paper. Put tape on the backside of the Gru logo printable and place it on the black circle felt paper. Then you are going to carefully stencil the Gru logo with the white fabric paint. (You may need to do 3 coats.)

Step Two: Yellow Shirt- Once the Gru logo is dry, glue it onto the center of the yellow shirt.

Step Three: Goggles- Spray paint the goggles gray. Do 2 coats if you have to. Let them dry for about 30 minutes. Once they are dry, using the hot glue gun, glue on the black elastic.

Step Four: The hat- Carefully stick the pipe cleaners through the small openings on the top of the hat. It is not necessary for you to make holes to thread the pipe cleaners through. You could design the hair however you would like.
